Oakridge at the Baltimore Art, Antique and Jewelry Show
This Labor Day weekend, the Oakridge team set their sights on Baltimore, participating in the Baltimore Art, Antique, and Jewelry Show for the first - but not the last - time since the gallery opened in 2014. From Thursday through Sunday, the team manned their booth in the Baltimore Convention Center, offering items of fine Chinese jade and porcelain, a selection of vintage toys and collectibles, and fine art from the European and American department for sale. The weekend was a success not only in terms of sales, but in particular as a way for us to catch up with our long-time buyers and consignors based in Maryland and to meet new prospective clients of Oakridge.

The Oakridge team also spent some time networking with the other dealers in the Show, who were there to exhibit and sell fine silver, exquisitely crafted antique wooden furniture, paintings by artists including no less than Mary Cassat and several of her contemporaries, and so much more. Inspiration was found in the creative set-up of the hard-wall booth sections - although there were some concerns voiced by the dealers who found that the prices of the booths were increasingly prohibitive. Nevertheless, the grand effort put on by the dealers exhibiting at the Baltimore Show made for a colorful and sparkling weekend. We hope to be back again next year!
