September Fine Asian Art & Antiques, Sept. 18-20, 2021
Oakridge is excited to share the results of its September auction of Fine Asian Art & Antiques, which took place from September 18th to September 20th of 2021. It was a grand sale conducted in three sessions, and our auctioneer, Mr. Clark Peacock, and our staff managed to keep a strong pace. We ended the sale with an amazing total realized price of over $2.5 million USD.
Each day had a number of star lots which outperformed their estimates. Of our Chinese ceramics, Lot 205, a vase painted by both Jin Pinqing and Wang Shaowei, sold for an incredible realized price of over $130,000 USD. On day two, a beautiful landscape painting by the master Zhang Daqian as Lot 489 was bought for a realized price of over $160,000 USD. And in our snuff bottle sale on day three, the final lot of the sale--Lot 734, a yellow jade snuff bottle from the 18th century--took the prize, selling for a high realized price of nearly $6,000 USD.
On behalf of everyone at Oakridge, we would like to thank all of our bidders for participating in our auction. We look forward to having you join us again soon!
