Chinese Painting of Scholar by Zhang Daqian

A hanging scroll painting in ink and watercolor on paper, signed Zhang Yuan, dated jia xu, 1934, Early Autumn. There are two artist seals, a poem inscription, and a dedication. The painting depicts a scholar watching a waterfall in pinetree-covered mountains. It is mounted on a silk backing with wooden dowels. Dimensions are: 56 in. tall X 15 in. wide; 142.2 cm tall X 38.1 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.It is in good condition with very minor creasing.From the estate of Professor Hing Tong.
