Set of 4 Calligraphies, Bao Jun (1797-1851)

A set of 4 Chinese Calligraphies in ink on silver-decked brown paper by Bao Jun (1797-1851). One of the calligraphies has 2 seals and is mounted on a silk backing with silk dowels. Dimensions are: 83 inches tall X 16 1/2 incheswide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Small areas of repair and minor creasing. Provenance: From the estate of Lee Yuhuang. Mr. Lee was an accomplished artist in Hong Kong, where he was part of the Lingnan School, before heemigrated to San Francisco. While in San Francisco, he taught Chinese painting techniques and continued to collect Chinese paintings and calligraphy, a practice he had begun in Hong Kong.
