Chinese Flower Painting, Ren Bonian
A Chinese watercolor and ink painting on paper of a branch and red flowers by Ren Bonian. The painting has 1 seal, a description, and is mounted on a silk backing with silk dowels. Dimensions are: 37 inches tall X 11 1/2 inches wide. Allmeasurements are approximate. Condition: The painting is worn and repaired. Provenance: From the estate of Lee Yuhuang. Mr. Lee was an accomplished artist in Hong Kong, where he was part of the Lingnan School, before he emigrated to San Francisco. While in San Francisco, he taught Chinese painting techniques and continued to collect Chinese paintings and calligraphy, a practice he had begun in Hong Kong.
