Set of 8 Album Paintings Attributed to Lin Liang
A Chinese set of 8 ink paintings on paper of birds and insects attributed to Lin Liang. Each painting has between 4 to 6 seals with a poem. Dimensions are: 9 1/2 inches tall X 10 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The paintings have repaired worm damage. Provenance: From the estate of Lee Yuhuang. Mr. Lee was an accomplished artist in Hong Kong, where he was part of the Lingnan School, before he emigrated to San Francisco. While in SanFrancisco, he taught Chinese painting techniques and continued to collect Chinese paintings and calligraphy, a practice he had begun in Hong Kong.
