Rare Imperial Blue & White Moonflask, Yongzheng

An Imperial Chinese Ming-style moonflask with a 6-character Yongzheng mark and of the period. The flask has a compressed globular body and a waisted neck with a pair of dragon handles, all resting on an oval-shaped foot. It is painted all overwith floral scrolls representing the 4 seasons. Dimensions are: 17 inches X 13 inches. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Small firing cracks original to the piece's creation to both handles and base, and 1 dragon handle haspossibly been repaired. Possible repair to neck. Provenance: From a private Northern California collection. A "lotus scroll" moonflask from the Qianlong period was sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong October 3, 2017 lot 3610. A similar Qianlongmoonflask was sold at Christie's Hong Kong December 1, 2010 lot 3057. Similar Yongzheng period moonflasks have sold at Christie's London November 8, 2011 lot 376, and Sotheby's Hong Kong October 8, 2013 lot 3022.
